About Remy...

Remy Madge is an award winning script writer, storyteller, and musician specialising in feminist stories that challenge social norms. She has adapted short stories for film, written indie features, collaborated in BFI funded writers’ rooms and worked on set. Her writing, which often focuses on themes of LGBTQIA+ experiences and mental illness in young people, has been long-listed for competitions such as the BBC Writers’ Room Drama Window and the All3Media New Script Award.

As the winner of this year's Alumni short competition in association with Falmouth University Sound/Image Cinema Lab and Screen Cornwall, Remy has received funding to produce her original short film 'Fruitcake!' which will start filming in September 2023. With a love for marrying the kooky and the fruity with a touch of the spooky - Fruitcake will be her directorial debut.

Although primarily a script writer, she is also known for her narrative driven song writing and music which has been featured on BBC introducing under the name Remy Turi.
